Triangle Christian Medical Fellowship (TCMF) is a central North Carolina organization who’s mission is to encourage healthcare students, residents, fellows and professionals to apply their faith directly in the workplace, serving Christ and people in need locally and around the world. We are loosely associated with the national Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA).
In pursuit of this mission, TCMF supports the student chapters of CMDA on both Duke and UNC’s campus’ – which are comprised of students, residents and fellows from the medical schools, dental school, and other healthcare programs. These are student-led groups that organize bible studies, service projects and outreach events. They work to create relationships with Christian faculty members and seek to build lasting relationships with their peers, supporting one another’s walk with Christ. In addition to supporting the student-led side of the ministry, TCMF hosts monthly dinners with a Christian healthcare speaker, plans social events involving both schools, puts on an annual Spring Retreat and organizes a Christian faculty-student mentor program. All of theses ministries are to provide contact with Christian role models and create Christian support network.
I invite you to prayerfully consider your role in this local mission field – and to partner with us if you feel led to support students, residents, fellows and fellow Christian professionals.
Please peruse this ministry booklet at your leisure and learn about our ministry and what it has meant to so many students and professionals over the years. We look forward to your participation in this ministry.
Triangle Christian Medical Fellowship
Across the nation and around the globe, God is building a movement of Christian health professionals to change the heart of healthcare. Bonded by a common faith, we are advancing Christian values in our profession and society, integrating our personal faith and professional practice, and using our skills to serve others in need.
The Christian Medical and Dental Associations (CMDA) was founded by medical students as a vehicle for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer with other Christian physicians and medical students. Today, with over 14,000 members in all healthcare fields, CMDA sponsors local chapters at two-thirds of the nation's medical and dental school campuses. CMDA provides outreach, discipleship, and missions programs and assists students and healthcare practitioners in integrating Christian principles with their professional practice.
Founded in 1931, CMDA seeks to change the heart of healthcare by:
Advancing your values;
Providing life changing resources;
Building relationships with colleagues;
Ministering to others in need.
